In the era of eco-friendly energy consumption and power efficiency, IT professionals are keen to minimize waste by ensuring a better fit between infrastructure and load requirements. Our new Aster Series UPS line helps reduce the complexity of the system while offering maximum power protection. It does that by incorporating at an affordable price multiple advanced technical parameters and by offering the possibility to customize your backup time, using the complementary external battery cabinet and by offering the possibility to choose different battery alternatives for 6KT-10KT models. Aster Series offers the possibility to choose between a rack mountable solution or a stand floor tower variant. All power units in this series are single-phase with a 0.9 power factor, high efficiency output up to 97% and destined for upper commercial power applications.

On-line double conversion technology

Ideal for commercial applications, from network and server rooms to branch offices and secure power uses, the new Aster Series is constructed with double conversion, on-line topology. This high-availability design, in which the inverter continuously provides regulated power output, means the UPS can be used to protect equipment that is not resilient to the slightest break in voltage or variations in frequency.

High efficiency up to 97%

Aster Series can also be operated in a high-efficiency operating eco-mode. Double conversion operations are bypassed to enable up to 97% UPS efficiency. Not only does this reduce power use and cost, but also the cooling required as units create lower heat, critical to longer life of key components such as batteries.

Flexible design

Aster offers efficient power quality and performance in a compact footprint. Has a flexible design allowing the units to be configured for rack-mounted (2U) or free-standing applications.

Information at-a-glance

Graphical LCD with coloured backlight provides at-a-glance display at the UPS status. The LCD also provides diagnostic and log information that may be helpful to identify power issues before they translate into equipment damage.

SNMP/WEB card option

Intelligent port for an optional smart card allows remote software management. UPS monitoring on-site applications continually watch for warning signs of future trouble, such as deteriorating performance or an overheating battery, and send real-time notification when potential issues develop.

Software management

Management software allows for numerous remote management features, such as remote shutdown of networked computers as well as the virtual machines. Power event notifications are sent to administrators computer or phone via email, text message or an instant message.

Selectable critical loads

Aster offers the option, through selectable critical/non-critical, to choose which connected piece of equipment is critical and which isn’t so in case of a power outage the non-critical equipment will be shut down first.

Terminal block wiring for increased safety

The 6KT-10KT power options use terminal block wiring to increase safety by grounding, isolating, and protecting the other components in the electrical circuit. Terminal blocks are available with finger-safe connections to prevent electrical shock and can also provide test points, which add even more safety to the circuit.

Emergency Power OFF

EPO or the Emergency Power Off feature is an important control mechanism that can power down an entire system of UPS units from a single point. In case of emergency as floods, fires or gas leaking, the site might not be available and a remote EPO control station is the safest option to rapidly react and cut down electrical power.

Secure Service Cloud

As an extensive management option, the Aster UPS can be attended through our secure cloud service, where all UPS units are registered in a dedicated safety architecture and can be monitored from a remote location.

Sensors add-on

Temperature and humidity sensors are also available through the SNMP attached hardware. After setting up a sensor it will monitor and provide these parameters in the data center or network closet.

Integrated battery system

Integrated batteries provide compact design of the solution which does not require an external battery cabinet, thus saving rack space. nJoy batteries utilized in this device offer high durability and longer periods of autonomy during power outages.

Easy battery replacement

The integrated internal battery system can be easily accessed for replacement through the front on the UPS. All batteries are placed on a tray that can slide out smoothly without any tools and complicated procedures.

Battery cabinet available

Aster series has a complementary battery cabinet available. The battery cabinet is developed to power the Aster UPS unit with additional short-term backup power.

Long-backup time scalability options

The stand floor tower options Aster 6KT 10KT were created to offer the possibility to configure the needed backup time. Each model accommodates 16 pieces of high rate discharge batteries (12V), which provide a longer backup time compared to other ones used on the market.

By installing the additional battery cabinet available, Aster 6KT-10KT will encompass a 32 battery UPS solution. This option will guaranty the safe supply of true long backup power for your critical equipment.
